Vision & Mission

Vision:  The vision is captured in this poem:

I want to read you a story

At the bank of Yellow River in China,
I want to read you a story, my little friends
About the love of Lady Meng Jiang for her late husband.
She cried so bitterly that the Great Wall collapsed.
And revealed his bones.

At the Foothill of Mt. Kilimanjaro,
I want to read you a story
Of the courage and wisdom Of lion Simba
that brought him to the throne.
On the grass by the River Nile in Egypt,
I want to read you a story,
Of a newborn baby floating in a basket,
That was picked up by the Pharoah's daughter,
And grew up to lead his people out of slavery.
Inside a boat sailing on Blue Rier Danube in Bulgaria
I want to read you a story,
About a prince who slew the dragon,
And saved the princess from the dungeon.
They wed and lived happily ever after.
Amidst the ruins of Machu Pichu in Peru,
I want to read you a story,
about the perseverance of a Dutch boy,
Who plugs the dike with his fingers,
and saves his entire village.

Inside the rock hewn church in Ethiopia,
I want to read you a story,
about the romance of King Solomon and Queen Sheba.

By the shore of the Mediterranean Sea,
I want to read you a story, little children of God,
About the tortoise and the hare,
And learn that Pride goes before a Fall.

As the books expand your horizon,
Fuel the imagination of creativity,
Up aiming the trajectories of your lives,
Teaching us about morals and virtues,
Creating new opportunities,
Bonding the teacher and the students,
Let us create a better world together.
