Ukraine Refugee Relief (II)
Today, we truly stand on a major historic juncture of inflection.
We are still in the midst of a global pandemic, with heavy losses in human lives, livelihood, opportunities in development and the natural rhythm of lives. Then, a war of aggression, unprovoked and unjustified came upon Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Destruction, deaths, and displacements of its citizens are widespread and horrific. Reports come up now with videos of war crimes, crimes against Humanity.
A few questions naturally rise. Which side are you on? And then ultimately, which side is God on? The answer for me is that God is on the side of the Suffering. All wars, hatred and conflicts are rooted in the Sinful nature of Humanity. Therefore, they just continue throughout human history with various degree of intensity, scope of impact, and numbers of participants.
God is a Compassionate God, who loves Humanity to the full extent, but in His infinite wisdom allows Sin, Evil, Pain and Suffering to exist on earth for this epoch of His Economy, that we will one day enter a New Epoch where there is neither sin nor tears. While here and now, His Grace and Mercy is everywhere and for everyone.
We are called to show His Compassion and Love, and step up to provide Aids, Comforts and Solutions to mitigate the pain and suffering, and to restore Peace.
3 components in this initiative
- To serve 5,000 meals for the Ukrainian Refugees Children and Mothers.
- To set up mobile libraries with English Language Children Books, so volunteers could read stories to the Children with Ukrainian language interpretations.
- Handprints Art Therapy with colors, shapes, and forms for the emotional expression and therapeutic healing process.
This project has happened in Ljubljana, Slovenia and will continue in Budapest (Hungary), Brasilia (Slovakia), and Krakow (Poland). We plan to raise $10,000 for the project and proceed with all volunteers only.
If you would like to join us in person or by proxy, with prayers and donations, it'll be greatly appreciated.
